Mark Hammervold’s practice focuses on multi-state class action litigation. He handles a broad range of disputes involving employment law, healthcare litigation and business deceptive and unfair trade practices.
Mark is admitted to practice law in Illinois, Florida and Tennessee.
Mark is of-counsel at Dapeer Law and manages his own law firm, Hammervold Law LLC where his litigation spans a wide spectrum of lawsuits, including breach of contract, tortious interference with business relationships, defamation, medical malpractice, wrongful termination, antitrust, and civil rights claims. Mark has represented clients in courts and arbitration across the country. Mark has tried cases to jury verdict, including as first chair, and has served as lead counsel in several successful appeals.
Mark has a special interest in the jewelry industry and has acquired significant recognition for prosecuting and settling several high-profile consumer cases against jewelers.
In 2018 through 2023, Mark was recognized as a Super Lawyer’s “Rising Star” for exhibiting excellence in legal practice. This distinction is awarded to fewer than 2.5% of attorneys following a peer-selection process.
Mark attended Vanderbilt University Law School on an academic scholarship. During law school, he won Vanderbilt Law’s intramural mock trial tournament in back-to-back years. He also represented Vanderbilt at the Phillip C. Jessup Moot Court Competition, winning first place in the region, and third place nationally. Mark graduated from Northwestern University, where he attended on a merit scholarship for policy debate and graduated with honors.
